Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the AET iOS application ("App") operated by Shalabh Singh ("we", "us", or "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA. The Apple Standard EULA is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

3. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

AET offers the following premium plans:

• Monthly — AET Premium: Auto-renewing subscription billed monthly. Includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Cancel any time before the trial ends to avoid charges.
• Yearly — AET Premium: Auto-renewing subscription billed annually. Includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
• Lifetime — AET Premium: One-time non-refundable purchase. No recurring charges.

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in App Store → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Prices are displayed in your local currency at the point of purchase.

4. Free Trial

New subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. Your trial begins when you subscribe — not when you download the App. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid any charge. Only one free trial per Apple ID.

5. AI Features

AET includes AI-powered features (auto-categorisation and financial Q&A) that send data to Anthropic's Claude AI model via our secure proxy server. By enabling these features, you consent to this data transfer as described in our Privacy Policy. AI features require an active internet connection. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated responses and they should not be relied upon as financial advice.

6. User Data

All financial records you enter in AET are stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data you enter. We are not liable for decisions made based on information in the App.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to bypass or circumvent the subscription or premium feature gates

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
